Latitude 5491 Internal LCD Does Not Wake

Front View

Your system cannot wake when the turn display off is set in Power & Sleep option, and the system is left idle after 4 hours. With the USB mouse is plugged in, it is to speed up the failure. There has risk hit the system hanging in sleep mode and cannot enter the system.

Cause

Resolution

This is not a hardware issue, do not worry. Follow the below steps can help you solve this issue:

  1. Go to Device Manager.

  2. Find Intel Management Engine Interface

  3. Right Click to the Properties

  4. Select to Power Management

  5. Disable Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

Any side effect for Intel Management Engine Interface power manager disabled?

  • Disable Intel Management Engine Interface(iAMT) power management has a minimum impact on system Battery Life Time (Battery Life Time impact is 8 minutes).
