If you found that the Onboard NIC (IPV4)/Onboard NIC (IPV6) are not shown in Boot Menu on your Alienware m15 R4 and ALIENWARE M17 R4.(See Figure.1)

Cause
It is a design limitation on Intel E3100X IC.
Resolution
This is not a hardware issue.
E3100X is unable to set up Onboard NIC (IPV4) and Onboard NIC (IPV6) boot function when the system is a cold boot.
The onboard NIC (IPV4) and Onboard NIC (IPV6) boot function only show when the system is a warm boot. Please refer to the below steps to further set up:
Power on system and boot into Windows
Restart system.
Press F2/F12 during the BIOS splash screen.
The BIOS LAN boot option will be in the BIOS setup or boot menu. (See Figure.2)
