Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Base Cover:
During installation or removal of any hardware always ensures that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
With the closed laptop sitting upside down and flat to the desk, loosen the nine (9) captive screws that secure the base cover to the chassis.
Using a non-metallic tool, start at the left-hand side hinge and work clockwise around the edge of the cover to release the cover.
Lift the cover away from the system and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.
Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Memory Module:

Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Remove the Base Cover.
The memory is located in the upper middle of the system, between the heatsink and the SSD. Pull the metal securing clips apart to release the DIMM to pop up at an angle to the connector.
Pull the DIMM out of the connector and the system.

Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the Base Cover.
The HDD is located to the left-hand side of the battery. Disconnect the HDD cable from the motherboard.
Remove the four (4) screws that secure the HDD to the chassis. Lift the HDD out of the chassis.
Pre-Removal instructions before removing the M.2 Solid State Drive (SSD):
During installation or removal of any hardware always ensures that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the Base Cover.
The M.2 SSD 2230 card slot 1 is located between the right-hand side memory slot and the battery. Remove the single screw securing the SSD card in place.
The 2230 card will pop up from the motherboard. Grip the card and pull it out of the connector and the system.
The M.2 SSD 2230 card can also be used in the 2280 card slot 1, which is located between the left-hand side memory slot and the battery. Remove the two (2) screws securing the thermal plate to the chassis.
Remove the thermal plate and the remove the single screw securing the 2230 card to the motherboard. Grip the card and pull it out of the connector and the system.
The M.2 SSD 2280 card slot 1 is located between the left-hand memory slot and the battery. Remove the two (2) screws securing the thermal plate to the chassis.
Remove the thermal plate and the 2280 card will pop up from the motherboard. Grip the card and pull it out of the connector and the system.
Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Wireless Network WLAN Card:
During installation or removal of any hardware always ensures that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the Base Cover.
The Wireless Card is located in the upper left corner of the chassis. Remove the single captive screw that secures the end of the WLAN card to the motherboard. Remove the securing bracket from the system.
Disconnect the antenna cables from the card. (These are pop stud connectors and lift off with a little pressure.) Pry the card from the adhesive pad, using a non-metallic probe, and pull the card out of the connector and the system.
Pre-Removal instructions before removing the Wireless Cellular WWAN Card:
During installation or removal of any hardware always ensures that all data is backed up properly.
Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer.
Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Remove the Base Cover.
The Wireless Cellular Card is located to the left-hand side of the memory. Remove the single screw that secures the end of the WWAN card to the motherboard. Remove the securing bracket from the system and disconnect the antenna cables from the card. (These are pop stud connectors and lift off with a little pressure.)
With the WWAN card sitting up at an angle, pull the card out of the connector and the system.

Push on the microSD card to have it pop out of the right-hand side edge of the system.
Grip the card and pull it out of the computer.
Pre-Removal instructions before removing the SIM Card Tray:
During installation or removal of any hardware always ensures that all data is backed up properly.
When you look at the system from the rear, the SIM Card slot is between the two hinges. Insert a SIM removal tool or pin into the hole in the SIM card tray. The tray will pop out enough for you to grip the tray and pull it out of the computer.
