XPS 13 Plus 9320 webcam may stop working with error code 0xA00F4244 after the recent driver update, or Windows Hello and facial recognition would fail to respond.
Incorrect Intel UsbBridge
generic driver submitted to Windows update caused this failure.
The following drivers must be installed in the correct order from Dell Drivers & Downloads:
Note:
- Running SupportAssist or Dell Command | Update installs all these.
- The driver package on the Dell website includes a script to uninstall the problematic driver files. If Windows Update has installed this same driver version, then it does not include the script required to resolve the issue. Be sure to install the update from the Dell site linked above.
- Intel UHD Graphics Driver
- Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver
- Intel Serial IO Driver
- Intel 2D Imaging/MCU/Visual Sensing Controller Driver for Camera version 73.22000.1.23, A03 or later
- Intel Management Engine Components Installer
Note: If the issue is not resolved with the latest camera driver, contact Dell technical support for assistance. Before reaching Dell Technical support, ensure that the camera is enabled in the system BIOS.
