Boxes provided by Dell for shipment of computers to Dell no longer include a preprinted customer form.
If your computer is being sent to Dell for any POWER ISSUE, we recommended that both the battery and AC power adapter be included. Both are important for power issue troubleshooting. Be certain to keep the serial numbers of both the battery and the AC Adapter. Note the numbers on the information sheet if they are included when the computer is sent to us.
If your computer has a removable hard disk drive (HDD) or solid state drive (SSD) and your computers issue has something to do with the drive's function or data access, and booting to Windows is required to troubleshoot the issue, then the removable drive should be included or else the repair depot may be unable to complete the necessary repairs.
The repair form has blanks for the computer users Name, Telephone Number, Email Address, and Service Tag.
The back of the repair form shows you how to properly pack the unit. The carrier to use is reflected on your return waybill.
