The Dell BSAFE team announces the release of Dell BSAFE SSL-J 6.4 (SSL-J). This release integrates Dell BSAFE Crypto-J 6.2.6 (Crypto-J), with Crypto-J JSAFE and JCE Software Module 6.2.5 as its underlying FIPS provider. 

Description

This release addresses a Medium security issue. Refer to the Dell Security Advisory DSA-2022-023 and the Dell BSAFE SSL-J Release Notes for details about the vulnerability being addressed. Public disclosure of the vulnerability will occur at the end of the applicable embargo period. Until that embargo ends, only customers with active BSAFE maintenance contracts can receive details about the vulnerability.

This release is also designed to include the following new features and changes:
  • DH key and ephemeral key cache usage enhancements.
  • sslEngine.getHandshakeSession() is extended to retrieve information about session parameters
  • Updated operating environment support.
