Avamar: OpenStack Architecture Overview

1) DPE API also referred to as Management API is a VM - provided as a qcow2 image
-REST API
 -VM Discovery
 -Policy Configuration
 -Backup/Restore
 -Job Monitoring
 -DP system aggregate

2) DPE Avamar Proxy - another VM - provided as a qcow2 image and registered to the Avamar Server
 -More than one can be configured as required
 - Avagent and Avtar process are running here
 -dpe-avamar-proxy

3) DPE Proxy Service runs on the Controller Node in the OpenStack environment
 -Is installed as an RPM for RHEL distributions and as a DEB package for Ubuntu
 -Keystone/Nova/Cinder are running here along with Horizon
 -dpe-proxy-service
