FW downgrade on X550 devices from 18.8.x to 18.5.x or older versions is not supported.

For the following adapters based on the Intel(R) Ethernet Controller X520, upgrading the firmware
from 18.5.17 to 18.8.x may cause link issues with optics modules or active optical cables. An AC power
cycle is required to resolve the link issues.
- Intel(R) 10GBE 2P X520 LOM
- Intel(R) Ethernet 10G 4P X520/I350 rNDC
- Intel(R) Ethernet 10G 2P X520 Adapter

----------------------------------------------------------
* To perform an AC power cycle, you must do the following:
----------------------------------------------------------
1. Shut down the system if it is powered up
2. Unplug all AC power cords from the system
3. Leave the AC power cords unplugged for 15 seconds to drain power from the system
