If System has Broadcom 1Gig LOM or add-on PCIe network card then follow below steps before installing chipset: 1. Disable Integrated Network Card 1 in the BIOS. This option needs to be performed after installing Windows Server OS on Dell EMC PowerEdge servers, but prior to installing any drivers or any OoB drivers. 2. To disable Integrated Network Card 1, navigate to System BIOS Settings >> Integrated Devices >> Integrated Network Card 1. 3. Select Disable(OS). 4. Boot into Windows Server OS, install Broadcom OoB drivers and reboot if prompted. 5. Once confirmed, Navigate to System BIOS Settings -> Integrated Devices -> Integrated Network Card 1 and select "Enable" option and boot into Windows Server OS. 6. Proceed to chipset installation.
If the system has GPU PCIe device then follow below steps before installing chipset: 1. Disable x2APIC in the System BIOS. Navigate to System BIOS Settings >> Processor Settings and select "Disable" x2APIC mode. 2. Boot into Windows Server 2019, download and install GPU OoB drivers from Vendor website, restart the System if prompted. 3. Proceed with chipset installation (see 'Installation Instructions')
Upon successful installation of drivers, navigate to System BIOS Settings >> Processor Settings and select "Enable" option for x2APIC mode.
This DUP will apply branding strings to Intel chipset devices and remove yellow bangs in Device Manager. If chipset devices already have branding strings applied, the update will be skipped and the chipset version will not change. This executable does not make any changes to chipset functionality.
