Known Issues
============
- Firmware update on Intel(R) Ethernet 25G 4P E810-XXV-stg from a Linux OS could cause the system
freeze during POST after it is rebooted. To avoid the issue, users can update the firmware on the
adapter via iDRAC/LifeCycle Controller. Alternatively, users can run the command
"ethtool --set-priv-flags ptp_wt_enabled off" on all four interfaces of the adapter
from the Linux OS followed by a system reboot. {256862}
- When using the dual rate 10G/25G SR optics module (DN# M14MK), linking at 10G may not be
possible if auto negotiation is enabled. To workaround this issue, disable Auto Negotiation
on the switch interface. On the adapter side:
- To obtain 10Gps link on pre-OS environment, set Media Detection to Disabled in Main
Configuration Page and in NIC Configuration, uncheck the box labeled 25G and make sure
the box for 10G is checked, this will force the link speed to 10Gps.
- To obtain 10Gps link on OS, you will need to manually set the speed to 10Gps. For example,
use "ethtool -s INTERFACE advertise 0x80000000000" on Linux.
- Resetting the device settings in POST may not work for the
Intel(R) Ethernet 100G 2P E810-C-stg Adapter to reset the port configuration to the
default. {241590}
- The LifeCycle logs in iDRAC may not log the Intel adapter's name after the firmware DUP is
successfully applied on adapter via iDRAC. {257493} {253275}
- iDRAC connectivity via the shared port of the Intel 25G 4P E810-XXV-st, 25G 4P E810-XXV-stg,
100G 2P E810-C-st and 100G 2P E810-C-stg adapters can be lost after a cold reboot.
Ensure the dedicated iDRAC port is in the "Failover Network" to avoid network disruption. {269531}
- Switching the port from one to another in the setting "NIC Selection" in "NIC Settings" in iDRAC GUI
does not work for the Intel 25G 4P E810-XXV-st, 25G 4P E810-XXV-stg, 100G 2P E810-C-st
and 100G 2P E810-C-stg adapters if the system is in S5 power state. {257723}
