Format Description:
This file contains a compressed (or zipped) set of files. Download the file to a folder on your hard drive, and then run (double-click) it to unzip the set of files. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
1. Please backup data in the HDD, or at least make copies of all important files stored in the HDDbefore executing this firmware update. 2. No data loss is expected if the firmware update is executed properly according to the update instructions. 3. Data loss or system malfunction may result if the firmware update process is interrupted for any reason. 4. This firmware update shall be executed entirely at your own risk.
1. Click Download File and follow the remaining prompts to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Run to unzip the download package into your hard drive. 3. The file explorer will open pointing to the directory containing the download package. Please take note of the path.
Procedure 1. Go into the Windows sub-directory and run the utility contained therein to start firmware update process. 2. On the Warning windows, select "Yes". 3. On the Flash Program for... windows, if the target ODD is not listed, select it and then click "Update". 4. Firmware upgrade will proceed. When the firmware upgrade process completes, it will prompt a successful message, click "Yes". 5. On the Reboot Warning windows, you can click "Now" to reboot operating system. 6. Go into the Windows, to confirm the firmware update was successful, open device manager -> open ODD -> click Properties -> choose hardware ID under Details and check the firmware version.
ATTENTION 1. Switch AC Power. 2. The DOS utility supports only Intel systems.
Procedure 1. Boot your system into DOS from USB or CD/DVD drive (for instructions, please refer to the manual that came with your system). 2. Go into the Dos sub-directory execute the DOS utility. 3. Scanning target ODD then press "Y" of the keyboard. 4. On the Flash Program for... windows, if the target ODD is not listed, select number of the target ODD. 5. Firmware upgrade will proceed. When the firmware upgrade process completes, it will prompt a successful message. 6. You can press "Y" of the keyboard to reboot operating system. 7. To confirm the firmware update was successful, boot your system into Windows then open Device manager -> open ODD -> click Properties -> choose hardware ID under Details and check the firmware version.
