Format Description:
Dell Update Packages for Linux can be used as stand-alone applications that ensure that specific validation criteria are met, then apply an update. Note: Update Packages for Linux are open source. See the Dell Update Packages for Linux Readme for details.
This Dell Update Package (DUP) updates NIC firmware on the NVIDIA BlueField-2 DPU and can ONLY be applied via the iDRAC/Lifecycle Controller. Executing this firmware DUP from the host OS is not supported.
==================================================== Installation from iDRAC GUI ==================================================== 1. Login to iDRAC web GUI with a browser. 2. Click the dropdown arrow "V" in the tab "Maintenance" on the top menu. 3. Select "System Update" from the dropdown list. The page would be redirected to "Manual Update" page. 4. Select a location from "Location Type" dropdown. By default, it is "Local". 5. Choose the firmware DUP exe from the local path if "Location Type" is "Local". 6. Click "Upload". Wait for a moment for the download process to complete. 7. Check the checkbox underneath "Update Details" to select the firmware DUP to be used for update. 8. Click "Install and Reboot" to start the firmware update process. 9. An information box would be displayed. Click "Job Queue" to view jobs in the job queue. Otherwise, click "Cancel".
