The following updates were made to the A11 BIOS to create A12:
Issues Fixed: 1. Fixed issue in which systems fail to Wake On LAN from the Off State using the onboard dock NIC after shutting down from Windows 2000. 2. Fixed issue in which USB devices may be sluggish under Windows 98SE. 3. Fixed issue seen when under Windows 98SE in which the system may fail to resume from display time-out if the touchpad is used to wake the display.
Enhancements: 1. New Help Text in System Setup explaining that the Slow IR setting may be overridden by some operating systems. 2. Added support for extended serial port initialization - Int 14h, function 04h. 3. Added System Setup exit screen to ask user if they wish to save their changes. Changes to date/time and password settings cannot be undone.

Format Description:
This file format consists of a BIOS-executable file. To use it, download the file and copy it to a DOS-bootable USB flash drive, then boot the system to the USB flash drive and run the program.
This is a self-extracting file that contains the A12 System BIOS for the Latitude CS Series notebook. After downloading, run the LCS-A12.EXE file from within Windows ONLY, and it will create the bootable BIOS disk. Reboot the system with this disk in the A: drive to flash the system BIOS.
