The Hitachi SAS release for 15K 3.5" SAS hard drive firmware to fix Linux install hang in a RAID-0 config. During a Linux install small block sequential writes occur which brings out this bug and result in a hang during install when attached to SAS-5/iR running in RAID 0. The firmware will rev from A48B to A5F0.

Please note: Only Dell Branded SAS/SCSI, PERC and embedded ICH controllers are supported.
On drives attached to PERC5/PERC6 controllers, the first drive to be updated requires a 5 minute delay before firmware flash to begin. Do not power cycle or reboot your system while the update is in progress.
