Ntbackup Cannot Restore from Backup Sets Located on Second Tape in a Continuation Sequence

SYMPTOMS Attempting to restore a backup that is located on multiple tapes may not work. Ntbackup.exe may request tape 1, eject tape 1, and then request tape 1 again. Ntbackup.exe then reports a tape inconsistency.

RESOLUTION
1) Download and run the file w2kbu.exe. 2) The file will self-extract its contents to the directory x:\dell\drivers\W2K_Backup 3) Find and execute the file Q277701_W2K_SP2_x86_en.exe in the directory x:\dell\drivers\W2K_Backup 4) Follow the on-screen instructions 5) Your system will need to be rebooted once the installation is complete.
For immediate resolution to this problem, double click on the hotfix patch Q277701_W2K_SP2_x86_en.exe supplied with this download.
Note: System will have to reboot after hotfix installation.
