Do not power off your thin client until the installation is complete.
Installing an image by using FTP server:
1. Download the latest ThinOS firmware and latest ThinOS packages that corresponds to your thin client model. If the firmware and packages are in the form of a compressed self-extracting (.EXE) or zipped file (.ZIP), then extract the files.
Note: When you download the JVDI.zip package, the README WITH EULA.txt and JVDI.i386.pkg files are unzipped. Ensure that you open the readme file and read the EULA agreement.
2. Place the extracted firmware files in the C:\inetpub\ftproot\WYSE\wnos folder, and the packages to C:\inetpub\ftproot\WYSE\wnos\pkg on your FTP server.
3. Create a wnos.ini text file (using a text editor) in the C:\inetpub\ftproot\WYSE\wnos folder with the following INI parameters:
Autoload=1 loadpkg=1 Addpkg=FR,horizon,JVDI
4. Save the wnos.ini file.
5. To locate the ftp File Servers/Path from the thin client, do the following:
5.1. On the ThinOS client desktop, navigate to System Setup > Central Configuration > General.
5.2. In the General tab, enter the IP address of the FTP server or directory, username and password. If FTP server supports Anonymous, enter the username as Anonymous, and enter the pre-configured password. You can also leave the username and password fields blank.
5.3. Click OK.
6. Restart the thin client and wait until the auto-installation of packages is complete.

Installing an image by using Wyse Management Suite:
1. Download the ThinOS firmware file to a desired location or the Wyse Management Suite server.
2. Log in to Wyse Management Suite and navigate to the Apps and Data page.
3. Click OS Image Repository and select ThinOS.
4. Click Add Firmware File and browse the Firmware file. Provide an appropriate description and click Upload.
5. To update Group of devices, do the following:
5.1 Click Groups & Configs and select the group where the device is present.
5.2 Click Edit Policy-->ThinOS-->Advanced Configurations.
5.3 Click Firmware Upgrade and select Configure this item.
5.4 Select the Device Model and Firmware File.
5.5 Click Save & Publish.
6. To update a single device, do the following:
6.1 Go to the Devices page and click your preferred device.
6.2 On the Device Details page, click Create/ Edit Exceptions.
6.3 Click Advanced Configurations.
6.4 Click Firmware Upgrade and select Configure this item.
6.5 Select the Device Model and Firmware File.
6.6 Click Save & Publish.
