The Dell EMC OMIMSSC appliance is an integration with Microsoft SCOM to discover, inventory, monitor health, performance metrics, and alerts of PowerEdge, XE, XC servers, AX Nodes, and Dell Precision Rack workstations that are discovered through Agent-free (iDRAC) or iSM Management Pack, Chassis or modular systems (including PowerEdge MX7000), and network switches Management Pack.

Enhancements: Dell EMC OpenManage Integration version 7.3 for Microsoft System Center for Operations Manager (SCOM) brings the following feature:
- For a seamless onboarding of the OMIMSSC appliance for agent-free monitoring:
- Wizard-based enhancement to enroll SCOM Management Group and Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers (previously known as Proxy Management Servers) with the OMIMSSC appliance.
- Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer to onboard and configure the Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers to discover and monitor multiple Dell EMC devices by scaling up the monitoring capabilities on the SCOM console. - For seamless alert reception capabilities, the SNMP Monitoring Profile on the SCOM console is automatically associated with the Dell EMC Hardware class after the enrollment of SCOM Management Group. - An option to create, edit, and delete Windows Credential profiles on the OMIMSSC Admin Portal.
- Using online (https://linux.dell.com/repo/omimssc-scom/latest/) or offline custom repositories, you can update to the latest OMIMSSC appliance version wherein the imported Dell EMC Management Packs, appliance kernel RPMs, and application RPMs are automatically updated.
- SCOM Console administrators receive recommendations to install or update the OMIMSSC Appliance and agent-free management packs for supported PowerEdge servers, AX nodes, and S2D Ready Nodes on the Updates and Recommendations page.

Security enhancements: -For secure HTTP access (HTTPS), the OMIMSSC appliance supports Certificate Authority (CA) or Enterprise CA signed certificates. -As part of ongoing security enhancements, various security-related improvements are implemented in this release. -Enhancements in the discovery of Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers by automating the snmp alert enabling and trap destination configuration on the target device for sending alerts to the SCOM console.

Format Description:
This file format consists of an archive of files that may be decompressed to a directory on the hard drive. The installation can then be done from that directory.
- Download the OMIMSSC VHD or OVA zip file from the support site. - Deploy and configure OMIMSSC on Hyper-V or ESXi. - Using the OMIMSSC Command Line Interface (CLI), log in as an administrator and configure OMIMSSC VM network settings. - Log in to the OMIMSSC Admin Portal and enroll SCOM Management Server(s) and Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers with OMIMSSC appliance for SCOM.

Upgrade instructions You can upgrade the OMIMSSC appliance to version 7.3 from:
- OMIMSSC version 7.2 by using the service packs stored online or offline.
1.Using the online method:
- Log in to the OMIMSSC Admin Portal. - In the left pane, select Settings -> Service Pack Updates - Click "Reset to Default Repository", and then click "Check for Updates".
2.Using the offline method:
- Download the "OMIMSSC_v7.3.0_1616_SCOM-yumRepo_A00.zip" file containing the service pack updates from https://linux.dell.com/repo/omimssc-scom/ - Extract and save the files in a repository. - Host the extracted repository over http. - Log in to the OMIMSSC Admin Portal. - In the left pane, select Settings --> Service Pack Updates - In the "Repository" section, enter the details of the repository, and then click "Check for Updates".
- OMIMSSC version 7.x (till 7.2) - Back up the OMIMSSC appliance settings and data from OMIMSSC version 7.x (till 7.2) and then restore the settings and data in OMIMSSC version 7.2 appliance. - Upgrade the OMIMSSC appliance version 7.2 to 7.3 using the service packs stored online or offline.
