Dell OpenManage Enterprise Services (previously known as OpenManage Enterprise SupportAssist) is a plugin to the Dell OpenManage Enterprise console that enables proactive and predictive monitoring and management support for your devices with ProSupport and ProSupport Plus entitlements. OpenManage Enterprise with Services provides a single, unified solution for your complete device lifecycle management and proactive and predictive support experience. Services improves the data center efficiency by enabling the administrator to seamlessly manage hardware failure incidents, reducing the time spent by Dell Technical Support, and improving the turnaround and downtime in resolving the hardware issues.

Services also provides predictive support and reporting by using the periodic hardware telemetry collections. The periodic collections enable Dell to perform advanced analytics, predict future failures, and inform you about the due time to back up and resolve failures in advance.

1. Launch Dell OpenManage Enterprise version 4.2.
2. The Services plugins can be installed by default, without manual intervention in OpenManage Enterprise 4.2. To proceed with default plugin installation, click on the End User License Agreement and the Infrastructure Telemetry Notice individually and Accept to proceed, during the initial onboarding of OpenManage Enterprise 4.2
3. To manually install the Services plug-in later after the onboarding is complete, navigate to Application Settings menu, select Console and Plugins.
3. On the Console and Plugins page, in the Services plugin section, click Install. The Install and update multiple plugins wizard will be displayed.
4. From the Plugins available for install list, select the OpenManage Enterprise Services 4.2 and then click Next. User can view the progress of the plug-in under the Download section, and then click Next on completion.
5. On the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT page, read the license agreement, and click Accept.
6. On the INFRASTRUCTURE TELEMETRY NOTICE page, read the telemetry notice, and click Accept.
7. To confirm the installation, select I agree that I have captured a backup of the OpenManage Enterprise appliance prior to performing a plugin action option, and then click Finish. After the successful installation of the plug-in, the status that appears on the top of the plug-in section changes from Available or Downloaded to Installed.
