Dell data protection security tools, uninstalling, DDPS, process overview to uninstall. DDP T must be at least a local administrator, user backup, all data disabled UAC UAC may prevent uninstall of security tools. Please note if you have a self encrypting drive, you must first use DDP ST to disable encryption and reboot. Launch the security tools console and click administration provide your security tools, administration password. Once the administration console opens, ensure the encryption tab is selected if a CD is configured, a decrypt button is shown, click it and wait for decryption to complete, restart the computer and proceed to the next steps in the windows control panel, go to an installer. Program note the 3D DPS T programs may not be listed in the order needed for removal.
Select the DDP client security framework, entry and click uninstall. Follow the onscreen prompts to remove the application when completed reboot your system again, open the windows control panel and go to uninstaller program. Select the DDP security tools, authentication, entry and click uninstall. Follow the onscreen prompts to remove the application. You will be prompted to select yes or no to preserve user data.
If you plan to reinstall security tools later click yes. When completed reboot your system a third time, open the windows control panel and go to uninstaller program. Select the DDP security tools entry and click uninstall. Follow the onscreen prompts to remove the application at the end. Click, yes, I want to restart my computer now and then click, finish when the computer is restarted. The uninstall is complete.
