In this video, we'll cover the process of installing slash 12 service pack one with a perk S 1 30 controller by using virtual media before you begin the installation, ensure that you copy the slash 12 service pack image on your system. Note that red hat enterprise Linux 7.2 slash 11 service pack four and slash 12 service pack. One installations with the S 1 30 controller are supported only in UEF I mode. One click virtual disc media and then click connect virtual media, click virtual media again and then click map CD DVD on the dialog box, click browse to select the slash 12 server pack one image. Then click map device next click virtual media to view the connected removable drive that is mapped to the CD DVD. Now reboot the system press F 11, you go into the boot manager page, click one shot UEF I boot menu and then click virtual optical drive. The system will boot to the virtual optical drive. Now click installation, this will load the Linux kernel and then initializes the installation environment next read through the license agreement.
And if you agree to the terms, select, I agree to the license terms and then click next. The system now detects and probes connected items and loads of related files. After this is complete on the registration page, type your email address and registration code and then click next. Please note if you choose to skip registration, you will not be able to access the product update repositories until registration is complete. Click next on the add on product screen to specify the hard disk for where to create the partition. Click create partition setup and select MD raid and then click next, click next twice to start the process, select your region and time zone and click next. Now create your profile by providing details in their respective fields and then click next. If you click next without creating user login, you will receive an empty user login message. Click yes on the message.
If you wish to proceed, type the password for the root user in the password and confirm password fields and then click next in the event that the password entered is too simple. You will get a message. You can click yes on the message to continue or no to create a different password. The system now exports the configuration after this is complete. Click, install, click install again to confirm the installation. Please wait as this may take a while after the installation is complete. Click ok to reboot the system while the system is rebooting, disconnect this less 12 service pack one image, the system will now boot from the local desk at this point. Type your user name and password to log in to slash 12 service pack. One to check whether slash 12 service pack one is installed on MD raid, right? Click on the desktop, then click open in terminal type the command lsblk to view the partition details. The process is now complete.
