Dell Backup and Recovery helps you backup your data like pictures, videos, music and emails. To get started, click the "backup" tile on the Dell Backup and Recovery home screen. Using the system backup feature, you can backup all of your data.
If you are opening Dell Backup and Recovery for the first time you can schedule a full system backup at set intervals or start the manual backup process. Click the 'Data Backup' tile to backup a particular folder or file. If you have the premium version you can activate the continuous data protection feature.
To do so, toggle the "Continuous Data Protection" tab to "Yes". Once you turn on the feature, you can select the files or folders which need protection. Whenever you make a change in a file or a folder it will automatically reflect the changes in the backup file. You also have the option to backup to cloud storage.
This will help to protect your data in the event of a catastrophic system failure or natural disaster. To activate cloud storage a user account needs to be created. The first thirty days of storage are free, and then can be extended for a charge.
You can choose a subscription term, package size and more. The cost depends on the choices you make. We hope you found this video helpful. If you need additional assistance you can reach us at dell.com/support.
