How to Replace a Memory Module in a PowerEdge R770

This video demonstrates the process of removing and installing a memory module in a PowerEdge R770.
In this video, we show how to replace a memory module in a PowerEdge R770. Before removing a memory module, read through and follow the safety guidelines to protect your system from potential damage and ensure your personal safety. In order to remove the memory module, you first need to remove the cover and right or left air shroud, depending on which slots of memory you need access to. In this video, we demonstrate removing a memory module from the B slots. To remove the cover, rotate the lock counterclockwise to unlock it, lift the latch to release the cover, then remove it from the system.
To remove the right air shroud, disconnect and unroute any Gray cables. Pull back on the retention clip and lift the shroud out of the system. To remove a memory module. Push the ejectors outward on both the ends of the socket to release it, then lift it up from the system. To install a memory module, align the edge connector with the alignment key and insert, then press firmly down until the ejectors click into place.
To install the right air shroud, align and lower into the system, then route and connect any Gray cables. To install the cover, align and place it on the system.
