How to Fix Data Domain Certificate issues in Avamar using the GoAV Tool dd check-ssl Feature
Опубликовано Nov 07, 2024
This video explains how to use the GoAV dd check-ssl feature to resolve SSL connectivity issues between Avamar and Data Domain.
When Data Domain is integrated with Avamar and session security is enabled, there may be a certificate issue between them. You can use the GoAV tool to diagnose potential certificate issues between Avamar and Data Domain and fix them.
If you have not installed GoAV yet, please check out our overview video on GoAV for installation and general usage instructions. You will find the link in the video description. Run the command "./goav dd check-ssl".
This will run passive checks and guarantee no changes are made to the Avamar or Data Domain. If a check fails, there will be an error message associated with it. For the purpose of this video we deactivated the NFS for one of the Data Domains.
To fix this and other errors, run the command again and use the "--fix" flag to allow automatic remediation of any issues encountered. Run "./goav dd check-ssl --fix" Once done, the "NFS deactivated" error, or any other error the check found, should be resolved.
You can find explanations on the different checks that the tool is running and on the fixes applied in the associated Dell Knowledge Base article 215679.
