From DMC console click Deploy Dell OpenManage Server adminstrator link to launch the configuration wizard. In the configuration wizard on the top part you'll see a report that shows currently installed versions.
The task referred below shows the currently scheduled task and recently run tasks to deploy OMSA on the managed node. Altaris agent is a prerequisite to install OMSA on remote systems.
To install Altaris agent on the remote systems click on the first URL. This agent can be installed in three different ways. To put agents on the remote system hit select Computers and select the Discover Devices. The second mechanism is you can enable the schedule push to computers and select appropriate target devices using the Apply To button.
The third mechanism is to specify the URL of the download page and you can pull the address agent from the remote system. Additionally you can install Altaris agent on Linux and UNIX computers. To launch OMSA, click on the second URL.
The first option is to create a new software delivery package if you want to install a new version of OMSA. Or if you want to install existing version you can select the existing package.
You can also specify additional parameters for the installer. Like system check equals no. To ignore the system, check. Additionally you can leave the target system as required.
Click on the context help to find additional information about the various options supported in this configuration wizard. Click next to open the target selection window.
You can either do a quick card by typing in the computer name, or you can do add computer to selectively pick computers or a group of computers. Click next to launch the scheduling page.
The scheduling page you can either schedule the task to run at a later point in time or run it immediately. There is an additional option to override the maintenance windows on the target machine. Click Dell Deploy OpenManage server administrator.
This will create a new task instance. You can additionally edit the scheduling on the task instance. You can either remove target systems or change the schedule.
For the task of the schedule you can start immediately by right clicking on it and selecting Start Now. To view the task status double click on the task instance.
You will see a list of target systems that this task has run against and select each target system to see the starts on each system. Here's the task details.
