Let us guide you through sending your Dell laptop for repair through Dell's Collect and Return service without contacting Dell Technical Support.
Dell's Collect and return service is available for Dell consumer and commercial laptops with an active hardware warranty. If your Dell laptop has a display, power or startup related issue, you can send your computer to a Dell repair center. Our technicians will diagnose and repair your laptop and send it back to you.
This service is currently available in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands Poland and the UK to schedule a collect and return service, open a web browser and go to Dell dot com slash support. Identify your product by typing in the service tag to the search bar.
Scroll down and click on the contact technical support button. Use the drop down to select the issue your laptop is experiencing. Please note that the collect and return service is currently only available for video and display issues for power and start up issues such as laptop, not turning on or not booting into the operating system.
Once you have selected your issue, click next, select, get started next to collect and return, read through the information on how the process works and then fill in the form with the required details including your correct shipping address and contact information.
Once the completed form is successfully submitted and received by Dell, the Dell Repair Center will call you to arrange for the collection of your device. In the meantime, we recommend you back up all personal data before sending your device for repair. Also make sure any external storage devices such as external hard drives and SD cards are removed before you pack up the device.
If the operating system needs to be reinstalled by the technician, any data on the drive will be deleted for software that was purchased from Dell. Check out the Dell Digital Delivery or Dell Digital Locker to download and install the purchased apps for software that was purchased outside of Dell.
Use the original installation resources. If the hard drive is replaced, the old hard drive becomes Dell property and will not be returned to you.
Once you have scheduled the collection of your device, a Dell representative will come to pick up the system and take it to the Dell Repair center.Our technicians will repair your device and send it back to you once completed.
