This video will demonstrate the replacement procedure of a WWAN for the Latitude 7410 Chromebook.
In this video, we'll demonstrate how to replace the W Wang card on a Dell latitude 7410, before removing the W A card read through the safety guidelines to protect your computer from potential damage and ensure your personal safety. Before you begin, turn off your computer and disconnect all attached peripherals to begin, turn the computer over and loosen the eight captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest assembly using the flat end of a plastic scribe pry the base cover starting at the top left corner and work your way around. Lift and remove the base cover off the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
Next disconnect the battery cable using the pull tab to pull the battery cable out of the connector. On the system board. We will now proceed with the removal of the wan card. Remove the single screw that secures the W AM bracket and W A card to the system board now lift the W AM bracket and remove it from the WN card.
Then slide and remove the WN card from its slot on the system board carefully disconnect the WN antenna cables from the WN card. You have successfully removed the WN card. Now let's see how to install the WN card to begin, connect the WN card antenna cables to the WAN card, then align the notch on the W A card with a tab on the WN card slot.
Now insert the WN card at an angle into the WN card slot. Now align and place the WM bracket on top of the WN card and replace the single screw to secure the bracket and card to the system board. You have now successfully replaced the WN card at this point.
You now need to reconnect the battery cable to do this slide, the cable connector into the pull tab connector on the system board to install the base cover, align the screw holes on the base cover with the screw holes on the Palmers assembly, then snap the base cover into place.
