How to Rebuild a Drive using OpenManage Server Administrator

If a drive is offline, rebuilding it may resolve the problem. You may also have to do this after replacing a faulty drive. Before making changes to a virtual disk create and verify a backup.

In OpenManage Server Administrator expand the 'Storage' section, select your controller, then 'Virtual Disks'. Virtual disks with an offlive drive are marked as 'Degraded'.

Select the degraded virtual disk, then identify the offline physical disk. Select 'Rebuild' from the drop down, then click 'Execute'. The process may take several hours. After rebuilding completes run a consistency check to verify data integrity.
