Publicado el ago 31, 2023
This video demonstrates to easily update the firmware of your Dell PowerEdge Server using the Lifecycle Controller and the Dell Website as a source. This feature is available on PowerEdge server Generation 13 and newer.
PowerEdge servers of Generation 13 and newer provide an easy way to update their firmware. To start, boot up your server to enter the Lifecycle Controller using the F10 key. Navigate to Firmware Update and then Launch Firmware Update.
Select Dell Website as update repository and click Next. In the next screen, you can configure your proxy settings and test the network connection.
Click Next to continue. Read and confirm the warning messages. Dell recommends the use of a proxy to connect to the website. If not, no HTTPS certificate is imported. Confirm these warnings by clicking the Yes button.
In the next screen, you’ll see all available firmware updates for your server. Select the packages you want to install and click Apply. If TPM is enabled, please read and confirm the BitLocker information. Click Apply to continue.
The Lifecycle Controller will now download and install the selected update packages, and reboot the system if necessary.
