This video shows how to replace the cabled PSU on a PowerEdge T350. Before you begin, power off the system, and disconnect all the attached peripherals. To begin, first remove the system cover. To do this, rotate the lock on top of the system cover to unlock position.
Lift the latch to disengage the cover from the system. Then lift the system cover off. Then by holding the air shroud, lift the air shroud out of the system. Now to remove cabled PSU, first free the power cables from the cable tie. Disconnect the PSU cables connecting to the system board and the drive backplane. Then remove the four screws from the rear side of the system that holds the cabled PSU cage to the chassis.
Now, slide the cabled PSU cage towards the front of system and then tilt to remove cabled PSU cage from the chassis. Remove the screw and slide the cabled PSU out of the cage. To replace the cabled PSU, slide the cabled PSU into the cage and secure it, by tightening the screw. Now Tilt and align the PSU cage with the slots on the system then slide the cabled PSU cage towards the rear of the system until firmly seated.
Secure the cabled PSU cage by tightening the four screws on the rear side of the chassis. and then connect the PSU cables to the system board and drive backplane. Now bundle the PSU cables together and secure it with a cable tie. Then replace the air shroud, lower the air shroud until it is firmly seated. Finally, replace the system cover.
To do this, first place the cover into its position on the system. Lower the latch to engage the cover into the system. Then rotate the lock on top of the system cover to lock position.
