For more information about safety guidelines, see the service manual at dell.com/support before you begin, ensure that you turn off your computer and disconnect all attached peripherals to begin with, remove the screw that secures the SSD cover to the chassis, turn the SSD cover and remove it from the chassis to access the M 0.2 2230 or M 0.2 2280 SSD. Now remove the screw that secures the SSD to the chassis. Now slide and remove the SSD from the SSD slot on the daughter board.
Now let's remove the SSD daughter board, remove the two screws that secure the SSD daughter board to the chassis disconnect, the SSD daughter board from the connector on the system board and lift it from the chassis. You have now successfully removed the solid state drive daughter board. Now let's see how to install the SSD do board align the screw holes on the daughter board with the screw holes on the chassis. Now press to connect the SSD daughter board to the connector on the system board. Replace the two screws to secure the SSD daughter board to the chassis.
You have now successfully installed the solid state drive do board. Now let's install the M 0.2 2230 or M 0.2 2280 solid state drive in the hard drive bay to begin align the notch on the SSD with the tab on the SSD connector and slide the SSD at an angle into the slot, replaced a screw to secure the SSD to the chassis. Turn the SS SD cover align the tabs on the SSD cover with the slots on the chassis and the screw hole on the SSD cover with the screw hole on the chassis.
