In this video, we'll explain the out of the box experience you'll have when you first unbox your new Windows 11 system first, you'll be prompted to select your country or region. Once you do click on, yes, the next screen will allow you to choose your keyboard configuration.
Once you select it, click, yes, you can also add a second keyboard configuration if needed. If not click on skip next, you'll need to connect the system to the internet, choose your network and click on connect. If the network is protected, you'll need to type in the security key.
Once connected hit next Windows will then proceed to check for updates, which might take a few seconds after this review the license agreement and click on accept. You will then be prompted to name your device. Once you've chosen a name, click next and the computer will restart after the restart.
You will need to choose whether to set up this device for personal use or for work or school. Click next. When you've made your selection on the next screen, you'll be asked to log in with your Microsoft account. Click on sign in once you've entered the user name and password for your account.
If you do not already have a Microsoft account, you can create one from this page. Simply click on create one and follow the instructions. You'll be presented with the option to either restore data and settings from a previous Windows system that used your account or start from scratch to start from scratch.
Click on next. If the system is compatible with Windows, hello, the next window will allow you to set it up now or do it later, then you'll need to create a security pin. So you can log into your system. Your pin can include both letters and symbols. If you'd like, once you've set up your pin, configure the privacy settings for the device and click on accept to save them next, you'll be prompted to select the experience options that best match the intended use of your system.
Once you've chosen them hit, accept your device will now give you the option to pair your android phone to your system. You can do so. Now by following the on screen instructions or skip it and do it later, you will now be offered a chance to accept or decline different offers such as the one month free trial of Microsoft 365 the computer will do one last check for updates and proceed to restart.
Once it has completed the check after the restart, you will be taken to the Windows 11. Welcome screen where the final configurations will be completed. Once these are done, you will have access to your new Windows 11 desktop. We recommend going through the get started experience located in the start menu here.
You will learn tips and tricks on how to use your new Windows 11 system. Once you have completed the initial Windows 11 setup, you can now register your system with Dell Open your web browser and type in dell dot com slash support slash retail dash registration, scroll down and under identify product.
Click on detect PC Dell's website will launch and connect with Dell support assist which is pre installed on your computer. Support assist will identify your system and help you with the registration. If support assist is not pre installed, just follow the instructions on screen to quickly download and install the tool.
Once in support assist, go to profile and click on complete profile. If you already have a Dell account, log in with your information. If you don't have an account, fill in the information under create an account, make sure you fill in all the contact and shipping information, this will be used to service your system if ever needed.
Once finished, click on done. Your new computer is now registered with Dell and you can use support assist to fully scan and keep your device up to date.
