The search feature in Windows 8 is extremely simple, yet very powerful. It can be used to search a lot more than just the PC or the web. In this video, let's see how to use the search feature in Windows 8. You can access search from the Charms on any screen.
From the Start screen, you don't have to open the charms. You can just start typing. If you want to launch an app, simply type the name of the app and press "enter".
That's the default search scope. If you wish to change some settings, select the settings option and type the keyword for the setting you wish to change.
Selecting the files option will allow you to search the files on your computer which are indexed. Apart from these three primary search scopes, You also have the apps listed which are registered for search.
If you select "Internet Explorer" and it will search the web. Try "Store" and it will search for Apps. Maps to search for places Music for all albums or tracks related to the keyword. And select "People" to search from your contacts.
