Hi, I'm Travis from @DellCares. and I'm here today to talk to you about how to shutdown your Windows 8 PC. A lot of things have changed with Microsoft's newest operating system and how to get to the shutdown option is one of those things. But I'm going to walk you through it, and you'll be just fine after you've watched this video.
To shutdown your computer, the first thing is you need to get to your Charms bar. To do that, you can go to the top or bottom right hand corners of your screen and the charms bar will pop up, or you can use the Windows key shortcut: Windows Key + C. If you are on a touch enabled device, swipe from the right hand side.
All of those methods will bring up the Charms bar. Now once you've got the Charms bar loaded, click the Gear widget which says "Settings" Then it will open up a menu. Looks toward the bottom and you will see a little button that says "Power". Click that and you will see your familiar options: Shutdown, hibernate or sleep depending on your system configuration.
This will enable you to shutdown your computer, and everything will be fine.
