Before you begin, make sure to keep your system plugged into its power source throughout this entire process. Click on the Windows "Start" button and click the "Power" icon in the bottom right corner of the "Start" menu. Select "Restart." elect "Diagnostics" using your cursor or the keyboard arrows. A quick test will begin. Press the "Escape" key on your keyboard to cancel this test. Once you've canceled the Quick Test, click on "Advanced Test." In the list of integrated devices, make sure to select the hard drives marked "Disk 1" and "Disk 2." Click on "Run Test." Wait for the test to complete.
When it is finished, there will be a screen with the results. If no errors are found, click on the "Exit" button to restart the computer.
