In this video, we will demonstrate how to remove and install the WWAN card. Before removing the WWAN, read through the safety guidelines to protect your computer from potential damage and ensure your personal safety.

Turn off your computer and disconnect all attached peripherals. To get started push the micro SD card to release it from the computer. Now, slide the micro SD card out of the computer.
Turn the computer over and loosen the eight screws that secure the base cover. Using the flat end of a plastic scribe pry the base cover from the hinges or pry points and continue to work on the sides to open the base cover.
Lift and remove the base cover away from the computer. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board. Turn the computer over and open the display.
Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power. After draining the flea power close the display and turn the computer over. Now, let’s remove the WWAN card.
Loosen the single screw that secures the WWAN metal bracket and WWAN card to the computer. Now, remove the WWAN metal bracket. Slide and lift the WWAN card away from the WWAN card slot.
Carefully disconnect the antenna cables from the connectors on the WWAN card. You have successfully removed the WWAN card. Now, let’s see how to install the WWAN card.
To begin, connect the antenna cables to their connectors as indicated by the black and white triangles on the WWAN card. You can now align the notch on the WWAN card with the tab on the WWAN card slot and insert the WWAN card into the connector on the module.
Align the WWAN metal bracket with the card. Replace the single screw to secure the WWAN card and WWAN card bracket to the computer. Now, connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Align and place the base cover. Gently press around the edges of the base cover until it clicks into place and tighten the eight captive screws to secure the base cover to the computer. Now, align the micro SD card to its slot on the computer.
Slide and push the micro SD card into its slot until it clicks into place. You have now successfully installed the WWAN card. You can now connect all peripherals and turn on your computer.
