This video shows how to replace the wireless card on an XPS 8950.
Before you begin, power off the system and disconnect all attached peripherals ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the system to begin, loosen the captive screw, this secures a left side cover latch.
Then pull in the latch to release the cover from the chassis, holding the left side cover firmly on both sides, lift the left side cover from the chassis, place the computer on its side to remove the wireless card, remove the screw that secures the wireless card bracket to the system board, then lift the bracket off the wireless card and disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.
Now slide and lift the wireless card off the system board and out of the system to install the new wireless card, connect the antenna cables to the wireless card place the wireless card bracket on the wireless card.
Now align the notch on the wireless card with a tab on the M 0.2 card slot and slide the wireless card into the card slot, then replace the screw that secures the wireless card to the system board.
Now place a computer in an upright position, holding the left side cover firmly on both sides, place the bottom edge of the left side cover into the chassis and press the left side cover into place.
