Removing the Palmrest:
Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
Remove:
SD card
ExpressCard
battery
hard drive
optical drive
base cover
keyboard trim
keyboard
bluetooth module
Remove the screws that secure the palmrest assembly to the base of the computer.
Remove the screws that secure the palmrest assembly to the front of the computer.
Disconnect the LED-board cable from the system board.
Disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
Disconnect the power LED cable from the system board.
Lift the palmrest up and away from the computer.
Installing the Palmrest:
Align the palmrest assembly to its original position in the computer and snap it into place.
Connect the following cables to the system board:
power LED cable
touchpad cable
LED-board cable
Tighten the screws to secure the palmrest assembly to the front of the computer.
Tighten the screws to secure the palmrest assembly to the base of the computer.
Install:
bluetooth module
keyboard
keyboard trim
base cover
optical drive
hard drive
battery
ExpressCard
SD card
