In this video, we'll see how to install Windows 7 using a disk on your Dell computer. Before you proceed, make sure that you have a backup of all your files, as this process may result in data loss.
Turn on your computer and tap the "F12" key to access the "Boot Menu." Use the "arrow" keys to highlight the CD or DVD drive. Insert the Windows 7 installation disk and then press "Enter."
Press any key when prompted, and Setup loads the files required to install Windows. On the "Install Windows" screen, enter your language and other preferences, and then click "Next."
Click "Install now" on the screen. Read the license terms, select I accept the license terms, and then click "Next." Now you have two options. Select "Upgrade" to preserve your files, settings and programs, and install Windows 7.
In this video, we'll select "Custom", which gives us options to delete or format partitions on your hard drive, and then install Windows 7. On the "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen, select the partitions and delete them.
Select the unallocated space and click "Next." Setup will start installing Windows now. Follow the onscreen instructions for naming your computer, date and time settings, and network settings, to finish installing Windows 7.
