In this video, we'll cover the process of installing Microsoft Windows 2012 R two with a PERK S 1 30 controller by using virtual media in UEF I mode. Before you begin the installation, ensure that you copy the Windows 2012 R two image on your system.
Also be sure to download and copy the latest perk S 1 30 controller drivers that support Windows 2012 R two into a USB drive. Please note that the Microsoft Windows 2012 R two installation on an S 1 30 controller is supported by both Bios and UEF I modes.
Now let's begin, turn on your system and press F two to go to the system set up page, click device settings and then click Dell perk S 1 30 configuration utility to create virtual discs, click virtual disc management and then click create virtual disc, select any one of the supported grade levels and click select physical discs.
Now select the required physical disks and then click apply changes type the required virtual disc size next to the virtual disc size field. Then select read ahead from the read cash policy, drop down menu and select right back from the right cash policy.
Dropdown menu note that you can also select any other desired read or write cash policies. Select enable next to the physical disk, right cache field and then click create virtual disc to view the virtual discs that are created click view virtual disc properties to install windows 2012 R two, click virtual disc media and then click connect virtual media, click virtual disc media again and then click map CD slash DVD in the new dialog box, click browse and select the windows 2012 R two image.
Then click map device. Next click virtual media to view the connected removable drive that is mapped to CD DVD. Now reboot the system press F 11 to go to the boot manager page to use UAF I mode for installation, click one shot UEF I boot menu and then click virtual optical drive, the system boots the virtual optical drive. Now press any key to continue the OS installation from the CD or DD.
Once the files are loaded, select the appropriate language in which you want to install the OS. Please note that if you want to change the language time and currency format and keyboard or input method, reboot the system and boot into the OS media and then choose the desired settings.
Click next to continue, then click install. Now select Windows server 2012 R two data center server with Gooey and click next read through the license agreement and if you agree to the terms, select I accept the license terms and then click next, select custom install windows.
Only note that windows does not detect the perk S 1 30 controller drivers automatically to load the drivers manually, click virtual media and then click map removable disk.
The system automatically detects the connected USB drive, then click map device to view the connected removable drive, click virtual media to load the drivers on the operating system. Click load driver, then click browse to select the perk S 1 30 controller driver. Click ok.
And then click next, click next to begin the OS installation on the created virtual disc.
Please wait as this may take a while after the installation is successful, the system restarts, you can now log into Microsoft Windows server 2012 R two.
