This video shows how to install and remove the PERC module card Ensure you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer. To begin, insert the system-cover key and turn the key counter-clockwise to unlock the system cover. Then lift the release latch until the system cover slides back. Now, lift the system cover in an angle to remove it from the computer.
To remove the backplane cover, slide the cover in the direction of the arrows marked on it. Now, lift to remove the backplane cover. To remove the PERC module, press down on the latch and disconnect the SATA/SAS cable from its connector on the module. Then, loosen the two thumb screws to release the PERC module from the computer chassis. Now, lift the module at an angle to remove it from the computer.
To install the PERC module, align and place the PERC module at an angle into its slot on the computer. Now, tighten the two thumb screws to secure it. Then, connect the SATA/SAS cable to its connector on the PERC module. Now, the PERC module installation process is complete. To install the backplane cover, align it with the guide slots on the computer. Now, slide the backplane cover to the front of the computer till it fits into place.
To close the system align the tabs with the guide slots on the computer, and slide the system cover. Close the system cover release latch.
