In this video we will demonstrate how to install Windows 11 on VMware Workstation Pro. Before you begin, you must install the latest version of VMware Workstation Pro and create a virtual machine. For more information, see the Creating a virtual machine in VMware Workstation Pro video. Now, let’s see how to install Windows 11 on the virtual machine. Click Power on this virtual machine. Press any key on your keyboard to boot from CD or DVD. Next, enter your language and other preferences, and click Next.
Then, click Install Now. If the Activate Windows page is displayed, and if you want to use the Windows MAK volume license, then enter a product key, but if you want to use the OEM version of Windows, click I don’t have a product key. Select the operating system that you want to install and click Next. Note, Image Assist supports the Windows Professional and Enterprise versions of the operating system.
Read and accept the license agreement and then click Next. Select the Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) option. Select the unallocated space and click Next. The Windows operating system is installed, and the virtual machine is restarted. Finally, after the virtual machine is rebooted, follow the instructions on the screen to complete setting up the Windows operating system.
This completes the process of installing Windows 11 on your virtual machine. You can now set up and start using Image Assist. For instructions on how to download Image Assist, capture an image, restore an image, or create a bootable USB drive, see the videos available in the Dell Image Assist YouTube playlist.
