In this video, we’ll show you how to add your Dell EMC Unity systems to CloudIQ. CloudIQ is a free, cloud-based application that delivers storage health monitoring, insights, and analytics. Using CloudIQ you can easily monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot your storage environment.
In this video, you'll learn how to set up your unity family systems to send data to DELL E MC cloud IQ cloud IQ is the software's service application that proactively monitors the health of storage systems through intelligent comprehensive and predictive analytics. Before you can use cloud IQ, you need to configure secure remote services or SRS. For more information about configuring SR S refer to the unity secure remote services requirements and configuration guide. You can confirm that SR S is enabled in unisphere by checking settings, support configuration E MC, secure remote services.
If SRS is not enabled, select configure and follow the instructions to set it up at the end of the configuration wizard ensure that the check box to send system data to cloud IQ, which is on by default is selected. If SRS is already enabled, you can confirm that your system is set up to send system data to cloud IQ in settings support configuration cloud IQ. After your unity systems are set up to send it to cloud IQ. Go to cloud IQ dot DELL E mc.com to get started sign into your DELL E MC support account, then click get started to set up cloud Q cloud IQ, retrieves and processes information from the DELL E MC install base.
This process could take several minutes to complete depending on the number of sites and systems that you have configured within the install base. If your systems were found successfully and have started sending data to cloud IQ, you'll see the cloud IQ. Welcome screen. If your systems were not found or issues were detected, you'll see the cloud IQ connectivity page with the newly added systems marked as either not set up or needs additional set up. You won't be able to use cloud IQ until at least one system is sending data. Click the instructions, link beside each system in the list to help you resolve issues with your system for more information and help with other aspects of your unity system.
