In this video, we will cover the process to import the backup server profile stored on the USB Drive. Before you begin, ensure that the required license is installed and enabled on the server. Also, ensure that the USB drive is connected to the server and it has a valid backup image present.
On the Lifecycle Controller homepage, click "Platform Restore". Click the "Virtual Media" dropdown menu, and then click "Connect Virtual Media". Once connected, choose "Map Removable Disk" from the "Virtual Media" menu. In the window that is displayed, the connected drive is shown.
However, you can select another drive if preferred. When satisfied, click "Map Device". Open the "Virtual Media" menu again to verify that the correct drive is mapped. On the "Platform Restore" page, click "Export Server Profile". USB Drive will be selected by default. If the device settings are correct, click "Finish" to begin the export process.
The "Export" window is displayed during the export. When finished, a dialog box showing that the export was successful is displayed. Click "OK". To check to see if the export was successful, click "Lifecycle Log". In the "Lifecycle Log" section, click "View Lifecycle Log History". This will display the log, where you can verify that the export server profile operation was successful.
