In this video, we will demonstrate how to manually select the files and settings that you want to migrate. By default, all your files and settings detected on your old PC are migrated. However, Dell Migrate enables you to manually review and select the files and settings that must be migrated. For more information, see www.dell.com/1482.
In this video, we will demonstrate how you can manually select the files and settings that you want to migrate to your new PC. Dell Migrate enables you to migrate your files and settings from any PC running the Windows operating system to a Dell PC.
For steps to pair your PCs, see the video titled Getting started with Dell Migrate. After the PCs are paired, Dell Data Assistant scans your old PC and displays the files and settings that can be migrated.
To manually verify the files and settings that must be migrated, select Let me choose what to move. Review the list and select the files or settings that you want to migrate.
Then, click Migrate now. Only the files and settings that you selected are migrated. If the files and settings of applications that are running on your PCs must be migrated, you are prompted to close the applications and continue or cancel the migration process.
As the files appear on your new PC, you can continue using your PCs while the migration is in progress. After the migration is complete, a summary is displayed with details of the migration.
Click Finish and click Tell us how we did to provide your feedback about your experience with Dell Migrate. For any assistance with migrating your files and settings using Dell Migrate, contact Dell technical support.
The support options available for your PC are displayed on the Get Support page of the SupportAssist user interface.
