In this video, we show how to replace the serial and network module in a PowerEdge R670. In order to remove the module, you first need to remove the cover and drive backplane cover. To remove the cover, rotate the lock counter clockwise to unlock it, lift the latch to release the cover, then remove it from the system.
To remove the drive backplank cover, slide it towards the back of the system and remove. To remove the serial and network module, disconnect and unroute the serial and network data cable. Remove the two screws securing the module in place, then slide it out of the system.
To install the serial and network module, slide it into the system and secure it using 2 screws. Then route and connect the cable As well as any other disconnected cables. To install the backplane cover, align it on the system and slide it forward into place.
