Before you begin this process, make sure to back up your data, be sure the laptop is off and disconnected from its power source and all external peripherals are removed to prevent eddy static electricity. Use an anti static wrist strap or touch a grounded metal object before handling the device.
If possible work on an anti static mat or table, you'll need a small Phillips head screwdriver, a plastic scribe and a small flat head screwdriver to complete this removal. Once you've completed the previous steps, turn the system over on its closed lid and loosen the eight captive screws securing the access panel with the system turned over on its lid.
The battery is located on the bottom right hand side of the system disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard loosen the single captive screw on the right hand side of the battery, lift the battery up and away from the laptop. The speaker's assembly is located at the bottom of the system below the hard drive disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard.
This is located next to the SSD connector, peel the adhesive tapes and remove the speaker cable, remove the tapes, securing the assembly to the frame of the system, do not discard these tapes as they are meant to be reused. Use the plastic scribe to lift the speaker's assembly from under the rubber bumpers and pull it out of the system to reinstall the speakers place them back in their slots on the palm rest using the alignment post and the rubber grommets reroute the speaker cable through the routing guides and secure the assembly to the system using the adhesive tapes. Reconnect the speaker cable to the motherboard next to the SSD connector.
