Adding a 2.5-inch Drive to Unity 25-Drive DAE

This video will demonstrate the adding procedure of a 2.5-inch Drive to Unity 25-Drive DAE.

This video shows how to install two and a half inch storage drives on Unity disk processor enclosures and disk array enclosures with a 25-drive capacity.

Before you begin, remove the 2.5 inch new drive from its packaging and set it aside on a static-free surface. Next, remove the filler module from the slot where you want to install the new drive.

To do this, grasp the drive filler with your finger in the cutout on the front and press down on the top of the filler. Then pull the module out of the enclosure.

Now you can install the new drive. Align the new drive with the guides in the empty drive slot. And ensure that the ejector handle on the drive is open.

Gently push the disk into the empty drive slot. Finally push the handle down until it clicks to hold the drive firmly in place. The disk's activity light flashes to reflect the disk's spin-up sequence. This completes the process of adding a 2.5 inch storage drive to a Unity disk processor enclosure.
