To begin, remove the four screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest and keyboard assembly. Then, loosen the remaining three captive screws. Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the top left at the hinge, and then continue to work the sides to open the base cover. Slide and lift the base cover off the palm rest and keyboard assembly Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
Then, turn over the computer and open the display. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power. Remove the screw that secures the wireless card bracket to the wireless card. Lift the bracket off the card and disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.
Then slide and lift it off the system board. Now, let’s install the wireless card. Connect the white antenna cable to the main connector, marked with a white triangle. Connect the black antenna cable to the connector, marked with a black triangle. Align and slide the wireless card into the wireless card slot on the system board. Then replace the screw that secures the bracket to the wireless card.
Now, connect the battery cable to to the system board. Place and snap the base cover on the palm rest and keyboard assembly. Tighten the three captive screws on the base cover. and replace the four screws that secure the base cover to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
