Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Open the drive drawer.
Removing an expander module:
Press the release button to unlock the expander module lever.
Lift the expander module lever until the expander module disengages from the module slot.
Remove the expander module out of the system
Installing an expander module:
Align the expander card to the connector slot.
Press the expander card lever down until it firmly seats into the expander slot.
Ensure that the expander modules have the same firmware version. If there is a firmware mismatch, the LED indicator flashes an error sequence. For more information about the Expander LED health indicators, see Expander health status indicators.
Close the drive drawer.
