This video explains how to use key features in Microsoft Edge, such as importing data from other browsers, enabling the Edge bar, using efficiency mode, and organizing online shopping with collections. It also covers how to find coupons while browsing and other helpful tips.
Learn about the features that come along with Microsoft Edge. It’s easy to migrate your other browser data to Edge with a few simple clicks. Open the Edge browser and go to “Settings”. In “Profiles”, select “Import browser data”. Click on “Import” next to “Import data from Google Chrome”. Make sure the “Import from” and “Profile” fields are correct, and the list of choices reflects what you want imported. When ready, click on “Import”.
Make sure to keep your computer on until the migration is finished. The Edge bar is a condensed version of the browser page. You can enable it through the Edge browser settings by clicking on “Open Edge bar” and toggling the switch to “On” for the automatically open option when the computer starts. You can collapse it to hide it from view, and the Edge icon will appear in the corner when minimized.
To utilize efficiency mode, which helps extend battery life, click on the battery icon in the taskbar and enable “Battery saver”. The feature will now turn on automatically when any of the power-saving modes are activated. The heart pulse performance icon in the browser indicates efficiency mode is enabled.
You can explore and change the circumstances when efficiency mode is on. Turn on vertical tabs to move the traditional tabs from the top of the browser to the side. While browsing with Edge, organize your internet shopping search with Microsoft Edge collections. Click on the collections button in the upper right corner and select “Start new collection”. Give the collection a name and start adding pages to the group by clicking on “Add current page”. Edge enhances your shopping experience by indicating which pages have coupons.
Click on the price tag notification that appears in your address bar to display available offers. If you have any questions about using Microsoft Edge, please contact us via one of the options on our support website.
